Hiawatha is a web server available for multiple platforms. It has been developed by Hugo Leisink since 2002.

Nginx is a web server which can also be used as a reverse proxy, load balancer, mail proxy and HTTP cache. The software was created by Igor Sysoev and first publicly released in 2004.

It has all the minimum requirement which are needed to getting started with your application. Flexible and ease of using while using as UI server with multiple backend endpoint management. Installation is super easy. The Docker version is also very useful and helpful to start and ship the solution in minimum time. Good community support. Flexible configuration.

As far as I have used, there is no advance cacheing mechanism which can be tuned or customised according to the need. Also, it would be good if there are some third party plugin and integration for cashing images and other resources.

The configuration can be a bit tricky. Most web applications are ready to be deployed using Apache and you have to play with the nginx configuration to get it to work. If you want it to work with something like PHP, you have to have PHP running as a server and cant just be loaded into Nginx as a module.
